PGNA offers enjoyable volunteer opportunities in Fort Worth, TX. Below is a list of areas where you can volunteer your time and serve your community. We are always on the lookout for volunteers.
Holding The Word Volunteer
Eggstravaganza and Spring Festival, July 4th Parade, and others). Although there are opportunities to only assist at events, we especially need volunteers to coordinate entire events or portions of events.
We need judges for decorating contests on Halloween, Harvest, Christmas, “Yard of the Month,” or other holidays. You can help choose the “Yard of the Month” or Christmas decorating winners in one or two of the Park Glen villages other than your own.
As instructed, you will assist in updating the information on this website.
This committee evaluates homeowners’ requests for home improvements per the requirements of the deed restrictions. This group aids in safeguarding our property investments.
Deliver a gift when you visit and welcome each new homeowner.
Service Committee

Duties to include keeping the neighborhood informed of businesses moving to or from the neighborhood, construction, etc

You will organize a block party on your street for the annual “National Night Out” (first Tuesday in October) or any other time throughout the year. We will offer suggestions and directions to help you gather your neighbors together to make your neighborhood in Park Glen friendlier and safer.
Gather information, write content or articles for the monthly newsletter, and publish posts on social media and the Park Glen website.
Create a monthly newsletter file using the material and articles provided for posting on our website. You must be familiar with Microsoft Publisher or any reliable newsletter production application.
You will be a part of a rotation of volunteers that devote an hour or two each month to distributing or collecting the signs we hang up around the neighborhood to advertise events and programs.
Attend PID6 meetings and represent Park Glen.
Work directly with the Fort Worth Police Department and act as additional sets of ears and eyes for the police. This requires training.
Organize and encourage your neighbors to be on the lookout for crime and watch out for one another. The Fort Worth Police will train you on this.
The committee must be made up of Park Glen residents who are unlikely to know a potential scholarship candidate. Members of the committee should have some knowledge of the academics and extracurriculars of high school or college from either their own or their children’s experiences.
Set up and disassemble audiovisual equipment for pool or movie nights three or four Saturdays in the summer and possibly other times.
Help select the winners for the decorated bicycles and other children’s vehicles at the annual Independence Day Parade.

Serve on the PGNA Board if a vacancy arises or be a candidate during an annual election.
